Explanatory notes

This competence describes the ability to plan and conduct their own teaching in such a way that the personal rights of the SuS are not violated. This is about protecting the privacy of the SuS and not using images/videos/information without consent.

Rationale

The right to your own image is an important aspect of data protection. It is the responsibility of the instructor to ensure that the privacy of the SuS is protected and that any use complies with the regulations and consents

Example

At the beginning of a school year, the teaching staff of the SuS (resp. their guardians) sign a declaration of consent. Thus, the teacher has the security that SuS may be published in images/videos, for example, as part of a school newspaper.
